A few notes on my style

I'm putting an emphasis here on the subject of "style" because I think it's very important that you know what type of photographer you're getting.

Certain styles of bridal imagery are only done in very specific ways and require equipment like strobe lights and stands. Please please please understand that flash photography and light stands can dramatically change the vibe of your wedding. I use minimal gear and like to think I have what's called a photojournalistic style. In reality, I'm sure it's more my social anxiety than anything else lol. But, This style of wedding photography, for me, is more a code of ethics than an actual style but, photojournalism (capturing the world through point-of-view and serendipity) allows me to express myself creatively while staying true to the moment at hand.

I edit my images after famous film stocks like Kodak Portra, Kodak Ektar and Fuji Pro400. These timeless emulsions give my images such a distinct color palette and liveliness that jumps right off the page. And speaking of timeless. I am a big fan of manual vintage lenses. I tend to shoot with a mixture of vintage and modern gear because I feel this combination allows me to fully explore my creative visions without missing a beat. Manual lenses have really changed my photography, for the better! I am so grateful that modern mirrorless cameras can be adapted so easily to vintage glass. Without this modern tech, I’m not sure I would have never had the nerve to explore this forgotten world. Shooting portions of a wedding with manual lenses is no simple task either! There are no safety nets, no do-overs, no million-dollar autofocus technology systems to save you. Each press of the shutter must be 100% sure and true. Manual lenses require you to slow down and focus not only your lens but your mind as well. Doing so has yielded some amazing results for me and my clients and I can’t wait to see what you and I can create together.
