Not only was this wedding awesome but it was in one of my all time favorite places, Anacortes, WA. I grew up in Skagit County and traveling to Anacortes, and neighboring Oak Harbor, was one of my favorite things to do in the summer. It’s even more of a pleasure now that I live on the east side, Chelan, because I get to drive the famous North Cascades SR20 with views like these…
The colors in the wedding were absolutely perfect for this location. The touches of purple pop against the whites and blues. Costal weddings are great opportunities to use accent colors in a loud and pronounced way. Minimalist color schemes with vibrant accents are my jam this year!
I shot this wedding with a very simple set up. My favorite lens right now, the Sigma 105mm attached to a Canon 6d and my variable camera the Sony a7ii which carried the Sigma 50mm 1.4, Sigma 24-69mm and two vintage lenses the classic Nikkor Q 105mm and SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4
